“EVENT INFO BELOW”
Dallas Raceway and Speed TV Would like to thank everyone that attended Friday’s test & tune and would like to extend our deepest appreciation for the extreme patience all of you showed during the process of parking.
Saturday will be a day filled with great racing for the whole family so we want to make sure everyone possible can attend. With last week’s snow Mother Nature has thrown another wrench in our on-site parking plans. This being said we have implemented an off-site parking plan to accommodate additional spectators wanting to attend the big day.
Once our limited on-site parking is full, we will be directing spectator vehicles to one of the three off-site locations available. Your patience in this process once again will be much appreciated and we promises you will be witness to some of the best grass roots racing you have ever experienced.
The closest parking is at the Dirt Track less than approx. an 1/8th mile from track using a walk up entrance. Please be careful walking and follow all signs and coned walkways. This area holds approx. 400-450 cars. Once this space is full you will need to proceed to one of the two schools listed next for parking.
The two additional parking areas will be Crandall and Kaufman schools which are located a few miles from track, please follow signs to these areas for additional parking. Once you’ve parked you will need to take a bus to the track where you will be dropped off at front gate. These buses in addition to being labeled for the designated schools they will have a color assigned to them. There will be staff located at these locations to assist you in this process.
Once the bus drops you off at the front gate area please be careful to note the school name on bus and its color coordination. Please follow all walking signs and barricades to ticketing for entrance to event .
ATM machines will be located at gate areas so if need cash please stop at one before you get to windows or walk up attended as we DO NOT accept credit cards at this facility. Also please have you ID and all printed online receipts ready. We expect large crowds and your assistants in this will help keep the lines moving.
Once the event is over take advantage of the autograph session with Rich and the crew while the traffic is exiting. Then make your way to your bus or vehicle for a less crowded exit.
The buses will make constant cycles back and forth to the designated off-site parking areas. Please listen for announcements s during this process and follow the signs and personal which will designate the buses going to either Crandall or Kaufman schools. If for some reason you get on the wrong bus please stay on the bus and proceed back to the track where you can. Get on the correct bus back to your vehicle.
This process will be tedious and long but with your help we will make your Pinks all Out™ experience a great experience.
Thank you

Will an IHRA or NHRA license be required to run 9.99? I’m looking for about a 9.80-1.10 pass, but since there’s no sanctioned 1/4 mile tracks anywhere close my NHRA license has expired about 2 years ago. As far as the car goes it’s legal to 8.50’s.

Why did you change the number of crew on the starting line from four to two? Originally, you said that arm bands were $15 per crew member up to a total of 4….most of us have already picked our 4 crew members, now the change???
By Todd on March 16, 2010
can motorcycles park on pit side ?
where can we park ?
By skipper on March 17, 2010
Todd I’ve worked several PINKS events especially the staging area and it gets really crazy and crowded, there really is no reason to need 4 guys at the starting line if you have to tow your car up I’d be more concerned about you tow vehicle having access at the end of the run to get your car!!!
Also those of you with Lexan be sure to bring your own number marker for the windows and to stop them before they use theirs that will etch the glass.
By TrackTech on March 18, 2010
My husband going to get to race in pinks all out. So I am asking I get a pass to go to the pit some time so iI could talk to him.I know there be two arm braclets go with him that weekend.Do not want to seat on the other side all day, would like to talk to him some part of the day.
By msmustangwife on March 20, 2010
You do not have to sit on the spectater side. When you buy your ticket, you can be there with him in the pits. The 2 arm bands that they are talking about is to go to the staging lanes.
By Denni on March 21, 2010
All I know is we bette not here crap about antifreeze this year!!!
By Camaro68 on March 21, 2010
yea, it looks like we’re going to need it. It’s supposed to be nice the rest of the week. I sure hope so cause i’ve made some changes and hope to get to test before next weekend.
By Denni on March 21, 2010
With the water issues at the top end what are the chances that this will turn into an 1/8 mile race? Has the track done anything to cure this issue? I’m sure we all want 1/4 (at least I do) but what is being done to ensure that we get a good race and everyone is safe?? It’s obvious we cant count on mother nature!
By Racer on March 21, 2010
^^^
Same here. I’d take the 1/8th over a wrecked car ANY DAY. I’ve also heard about this water thing and the track.

By Mustang_hottie on March 23, 2010
I was at the pinks race at Ennis last year with a friend of mine.In fact he made the show an had a great time.I am here to warn you people this is not Ennis. This is that tiny ass over hype dragstrip that only hold 250 cars at the most.Plus Kenny Barnes is going to try to rob you of every last penny you got trust me,by this time next year it will be like the old Dallas International Dragstrip just a memorie.
By concretelonghorn on March 23, 2010
I hope your wrong….. Sounds like someone pee’d in your cheerios. Better luck next time…..
I do agree they dont run the track to potential but give’em a chance. They will shut down or get better, we all knoe the potential is there.
By Hope not on March 23, 2010
i just want to know if hell yeah is going to run
By rollen on March 23, 2010
I have raced at a number of PAO events and also throughout the country for NHRA and IHRA. At this track, water comes up past the 1/8th-mile and the rundown is way too slick, so be careful. All other tracks I ran PAO at, they had plenty of parking and were well managed before / during / after the race.
There is NO way that this race should have been sold for over the 400 original entries. That was a stretch, by far for this size of facility, and now, with who-knows-how-many racers??? I’m afraid tons of us racers are going to be parked in the mud and / or offsite. Same for spectators.
Latest rumor is that we are going to have to drop our car/trailers off and leave tow vehicles offsite. If that’s the case, see how happy people are going to be! I sure as hell hope that is just an ugly rumor, but—-
Look at the pictures posted of Dallas Raceway’s events and see where you think 400-600 trucks / trailers / racecars are going to go on pavement. Some may take these comments as negative, but they are only meant to be a reality check for us and Dallas Raceway. Especially us locals who want this track to thrive, however, to do so, events like this had better go off well.
Without extra paved pitting and good spectator parking, events like this won’t go over well nor supported. Sorry for the rant, but, numerous emails and phonecalls to the track have gone unanswered trying to find out specifics for our pitting and parking.
By HopeNot2 on March 23, 2010
Dropping off our trailers is not going to happen…most of us carry tools, fuel, battery chargers, nitrous, spare parts, etc. Do they expect us to just dump that stuff out on the ground? I don’t think so. My trailer also acts a safe storage for my car. I’m not leaving my car out in the open all night for someone to help themselves to. According to an email from Brian Bassone, we will be given a 20’x60’ space per racer for car and trailer. This is standard for almost all race tracks. I don’t believe that rumor…No one can be expected to abandon your trailer offsite.
By Todd on March 24, 2010
What time does everything start on Saturday?
By Race Girl on March 24, 2010
Those are some scary posts,i gues if the parking space is 20x60 we could unhook the toter home and put it next to the trailer and the car behind that. This will be my first PAO I hope it goes well.
By Phoenx on March 24, 2010
Hey guys ill be parking tomarrow, it is true that we are using 60’x20’ parking, alot of that has to do with the rain, we want to try and get all the racers on the concrete, we have a few limited spots for the big 75’ to 90’ rigs that might come in, they still get 20’ wide space. We ask that you work with us, as we try and get everyone in a concrete spot, also if you are in an open trailer, we are going to have you pit behind your trailer, usually what ill do is have you pull the rear of the trailer to the front of your parking spot and unhook, take the racecar off the trailer, park your tow truck in the middle and then put the racecar at the back of the pit spot. may have to do some moving around friday morning when you get in. This will eliminate anyone having to go hunt for a place to try and park there pit vehicle. We will do our best to work with all of you, and it will be absolute last resort before we put anyone in the grass. We just ask that you understand that the concrete is limited and its going to be a tight fit.
By drw/pao TJ on March 24, 2010
drw/pao TJ…thanks VERY much for the clarification and to help stop the rumors on parking.
Question: Where are the tow rigs going to line up before the 12pm Thursday gate opening?
By HopeNot2 on March 24, 2010
ok guys for those of you that show up tonight and in the morning, sammy with drw will be there to stack you in the spectator side parking lots until i get there in the morning, then we will send the first set of guys over and just continue all day from there until we get you guys in. Just be patent with us fellows we will get you in as quick as we possibly can, any other questions feel free to ask, thanks again guys, and hope to see you tomarrow.
By drw/pao TJ on March 24, 2010
I will be coming in a 90’ rig and will be there tomorrow afternoon and i hope you will have a spot left for me when I get there.
By Phoenix on March 24, 2010
Where does this make since?!? “We ask that you work with us, as we try and get everyone in a concrete spot, also if you are in an open trailer, we are going to have you pit behind your trailer, usually what ill do is have you pull the rear of the trailer to the front of your parking spot and unhook, take the racecar off the trailer, park your tow truck in the middle and then put the racecar at the back of the pit spot.” That’s the same as leaving the truck hooked up to the trailer! The car/truck/trailer will still be 3 deep! One day, maybe there will be some sort of order with PAO! It always changes at the last minute! Good luck! I will be there if there is enough room!
By mod31 on March 24, 2010
How much for kids tickets and what time will it all start Saturday?
By mod31 on March 24, 2010
Mod31, i simply was talking on an overnight basis, if you are leaving an open trailer there this will be the best method to use based on what i have done in the past, if you are leaving each night you can do it however you wish, like i said we will try and work with you the best we can. the reasoning behind the open trailer scenario is because we are going to put two open trailers side by side in a 60’ x 20’ spot, and have them pit off the back of there trailers to use the concrete parking as effective as possible. Box trailers will have to pit off the side like normal, there just to bulky and long to stack right next to each other and pit out of the back.
By drw/pao TJ on March 24, 2010
Also Mod31 each pinks all out is diffrent when it comes to parking and tech because each racetrack does it there own way, pinks doesnt bring anyone in to have the parking situation taken care of. Its the tracks responsibility to handle the parking and tech issues. As for this track this time we are concentrating on getting all the racers on dry land incase of a serious down poor. Id deffently like to help you in anyway possible, if you have any other questions.
By drw/pao TJ on March 24, 2010
As for spectators, since there is such a parking issue, can i park at the circle track and ride a pit bike to and in the track?
By Blown on March 24, 2010
Myine & a friends pit crew’s are flying in tomorrow from out of state.. Should be there by 4pm… I need to be sure they will be able to enter the track tomorrow at some point.
By Racer on March 24, 2010
Trust me guys they will try as hard as they can to get us on concrete. We ran the bracket finals there with 400+ cars and it rained. They tried there hardest to get people on concrete. The only problem is Dallas Raceway is so unorganised its not funny. This will def. be an adventure.
By Camaro68 on March 24, 2010
I wish everyone a safe and good time! I will not be there. This is not going to be the same PAO we know and love! Good luck to all the Racers!!!
By sorry guys on March 24, 2010
drw, got it! Thanks!
By mod31 on March 24, 2010
drw, I hear ya on the parking! Was a little confused but understand now! There is other issues that I was talking about as far as the “some sort of order” comment but that’s neither here nor there! Good luck and see ya Saturday!

hey all spectators i am here at the track, they have a pretty big parking lot right up the road from the track if it is full the circle track is right up the road from that these two places will hold alot of cars so if you get here early enough saturday morning there should be plenty of parking in walking distance.
By moose on March 26, 2010
This is the most wack race event ever no food or drink, no alcohol, no coolers, no nothing the parking at the high schools, In my opinon dont hold an event at a place that cant hold that many people. wack, wack ,wack

Hey! I try to warn you about this crap.Who`s getting thier cheerios pee`d on now.Everyone I know that has raced there has something bad to say about the place.May be next year they will hold it at Yellow Belly,I better not say anything,at least they know how to run a big race.they do it every weeking.
By concretelonghorn on March 28, 2010
It was not too bad there was some quick cars today, but parking could have been better, need a bigger track to host this kind of race, and as far as 1/8th mile goes, na they need to keep at 1/4 if it’s a 1/4 track, yes those 7 sec cars i can understand only wanting to run 1/8th they were all over the track after passing the stands, at least they did pick a high 9 class though better than 11s 8 or 9 always makes a good race, all in all not too bad seen worse and better…..
By J on March 28, 2010
this race track is the biggest joke. when we got too the track saturday morning they told me to go park in a grass lot a little down the road so we did then hours later they anounce that peoples cars were being towed from the same spot the idoits told me to park at. So my car was towed, i had to pay over $200.00 and drive 16 miles to go get my car back and the track told us it was are problem and didnt do anything to help out. Pinks is awesome but me and everone i know will never visit this track again!!!!!! It sucks!
By pissed off on March 28, 2010

By Red Z06 on March 28, 2010
Dallas Raceway is great for a fun and grudge, but saturday night showed you can’t hold something major there. THe track and the town can’t handle more than 3000 people at that hell hole…what a joke.
By paul on March 28, 2010
Parking? What Parking? We were waved on by one of their genius parking attendance, parked parallel on the service road (there were no signs that indicated no parking anywhere!)We were inside gate about an hour when we saw a CONVOY of tow trucks! No announcement, no nothing! By the time we got to the area where our truck USED to be, it was GONE…towed to a place 30 miles away!! The Crandell Police and Kaufman County Sheriff dept. were “Lovely.” Talk about Hazard County. This is a racket! We raised so much H*ll that the track gave us a refund on the tickets. But the tow bill was $150.00. After everyone’s ride was towed THEN they put up barricades. I acutually heard one track official say, ” Der,this is a good idea, who thought of this”? When the cops don’t care enough about their community to take advantage of an event this size that draws in revenue theres a problem, trust me, stay away from there! Ennis, we love you! This place won’t last long, pretty soon there will be a Wal-Mart there!
